I was hired by popular grass roots publisher Trouble Magazine to create custom iPhone/iPad applications that allowed users to engage with the magazine in a method that was far superior to it's hardcopy predecessor.
My design concept was to show as little visible chrome whilst being super easy to navigate. This allows users to focus on the fantastic content and be immersed in the amazing imagery contained throughout the magazine.
I was also hired to redesign the www.troublemag.com website. The goal was to create an engaging portal that gave users the chance to get more involved with the content by providing access to the latest industry news, articles, interviews, videos, comics and current exhibition listings.
Assisted by cool features like digital subscriptions, push notifications and social sharing, in the first month after launch Trouble Magazine increased their monthly reader base by more than 3x times (over 15,000+ people :-)
